Dr. Kristin Royen received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from East Carolina University in 2009. After graduation Kristin relocated to the Northern Virginia area where she began her work with a premiere orthopedic practice. Dr. Royen was able to work with a wide array of patients including those with back and neck pain, joint pain, sports injuries and many post operative patients.
Dr. Kristin Royen moved back to her hometown of Charlotte in 2012. She continued her work in the out-patient orthopedic setting, honing her extensive manual and therapeutic exercise skill set. Kristin has been trained in dry needling, Mulligan, and Graston technique, which she utilizes along with many other manual therapy techniques to achieve the best patient outcomes possible. With a combination of therapeutic exercise and manual therapies Kristin enjoys treating patients of all ages and strives to give high quality, hands on, personalized care.
I have been seeing Kristen Royen at PRA for sacral torsion (amongst many other questions/concerns I bring to her) for 2 months and am so pleased with my progress as well as the service they provide. My alignment issues are almost completely resolved, making my gait more comfortable than it's been in years. Kristen has also taught me so much about posture/spine health that I believe has been integral in my recovery. The facility is clean and the staff is wonderful (the woman at the front desk is remarkably friendly!)
I braved the Hurricane Sally rain and winds today to visit and obtain another pain relieving neck treatment from Dr K Royen. The knowledge that she has gained from extensive reading is very impressive. Dr K is masterful at using her knowledge to provide pain relief and to recommend proper exercise techniques to strengthen weak muscles.
